Dread to Re-Release CIRCUS OF THE DEAD! New Trailer & Key Art! Pre-Order Blu-ray Now!

2014 saw the release of Billy “Bloody Bill” Pon’s Circus of the Dead. Despite losing a distribution deal due to Distribber’s bankruptcy, the film enjoyed a limited DVD run (now long out of print) and made its way, briefly, onto VOD platforms. Circus of the Dead has since become a bona fide cult classic with Pon and many of the film’s cast and crew lauded at horror conventions nationwide.

Still, without a new distro deal, Circus of the Dead risked fading into obscurity–which is why Dread Central is thrilled to announce that we are re-releasing Pon’s gory opus on VOD July 14th with a Blu-ray release to follow! Check out the new trailer and key art below and pre-order your Blu-ray now, HERE.

“Get ready to watch something you can’t un-see! This is your next favorite horror film!” – Billy Pon dir. CIRCUS OF THE DEAD

Synopsis:
A man becomes entangled in a deadly morality game when the circus comes to town and a sadistic clown forces him to examine the things in life he takes for granted in the most horrific ways.

Pon co-wrote Circus of the Dead with Lee Ankrum; the film stars Bill Oberst Jr., Parrish Randall, and Chanel Ryan. The film introduces fans to Papa Corn (Oberst), a killer clown who hands in a performance many put right up there with Terrifier‘s Art the Clown! We hope you’ll agree, Circus of the Dead represents the kind of bold, transgressive filmmaking Dread fans are craving. Hang on to your hats and glasses, because this ride isn’t for the tame of heart!
