STAR WARS: DARK LEGENDS Horror Story Anthology Book Coming Next Month
A new book collecting horror stories set within the Star Wars universe has been announced by Disney–Lucasfilm Press, and it will be available next month. Called Star Wars: Dark Legends, the book will be written by George Mann and illustrated by Grant Griffin, who were both responsible for last year’s anthology Star Wars: Myths & Fables, which similarly collected various in-universe tales from the galaxy far, far away.
Few specific details have been given about the stories collected within the Dark Legends anthology, although the official description specifically mentions that some of the stories will be about ghosts, and that the Galaxy’s Edge attractions at Disneyland and Disney World, which canonically take place on the Outer Rim planet of Batuu, will be featured. The SWU Twitter account also mentioned that the first story will focus on the Grand Inquisitor from the Star Wars Rebels TV series.
We don’t have much else to go on at this point, so we’ll just have to wait until Star Wars: Dark Legends arrives in stores on July 28, 2020, to experience these six terrifying stories for ourselves. The official synopsis for the book also promises that these spooky tales would have kept a young Luke Skywalker and a young Princess Leia up at night, so if they can scare the future heroes of the Rebellion, they will certainly scare us.
