ALIEN 7 May Resolved Mystery Of Original Xenomorph Eggs
Yesterday, director Ridley Scott’s revealed that he still thinks there’s a lot of mileage left in the Alien saga. And today he says that his plan for the next movie would be to reveal the mysterious purpose of the original Xenomorph eggs.
He tells the LA Times: “What was the purpose of the eggs? That’s the thing to question – who, why, and for what purpose is the next idea, I think.”

Alien takes place in deep space and follows the crew of the starship Nostromo who is awakened from cryo-sleep capsules halfway through their journey home to investigate a distress call from an alien vessel. The terror begins when the crew encounters a nest of eggs inside the alien ship. An organism from inside an egg leaps out and attaches itself to one of the crew, causing him to fall into a coma.
