FEAR THE WALKING DEAD Probably Won’t Resume Shooting Any Time Soon

Well, it looks like AMC’s The Walking Dead spin-off Fear the Walking Dead won’t be resuming shooting any time soon according to star Lennie James.

He tells Digital Spy: “We have no official restart time but everything is still moving as if we will be back. AMC, who is the network in charge of the show, are in consultation with experts to find the safest and best way, and the most functional way, of not just restarting, but restarting safely, and finding a way to remain safe.

He adds: “The specifics of our show mean that we have a slightly different dynamic about how we could possibly incorporate, you know, social distancing. It’s really not possible, certainly as far as in front of camera is concerned. I don’t think we could realistically go back to work until we have a reliable, quick test that gives a result as quickly as possible, but also one that’s cheap enough that we could repeat it every day or every two days, depending on what the best health advice is.”

The spin-off series stars Alycia Debnam-Carey, Colman Domingo, Maggie Grace, Garret Dillahunt, Rubén Blades, Lennie James, and Austin Amelio.

Season 5 followed this synopsis: The group’s mission is clear: locate survivors and help make what’s left of the world a slightly better place. With dogged determination, Morgan Jones leads the group with a philosophy rooted in benevolence, community, and hope. Each character believes that helping others will allow them to make up for the wrongs of their pasts. But trust won’t be easily earned. Their mission of helping others will be put to the ultimate test when the members of the group find themselves in uncharted territory, forced to face not just their pasts but also their fears. It is only by facing those fears that the group will discover an entirely new way to live, one that will leave them forever changed.
