Is Pinhead evil? The seemingly straightforward question is actually extremely nuanced, and it depends on the source material.
With a new reboot of Clive Barker’s epic Hellraiser franchise in the works, expect interest in all things Hellraiser-related to surge in the coming months (and, hopefully, years). One of our favorite UK film critics and academics, Mr. H, is a bonafide expert on the franchise, and we’ve featured many of his video explorations of the series. His most recent, embedded at the top of the article, asks, “Is Pinhead evil?”; it differentiates between the literary and cinematic incarnations of the Hell Priest. Give it a spin!
