The trailer for the upcoming British film The Harsh Light of Day has us liking what we see. It gives us the impression that we’re going to be getting a revenge flick with a supernatural twist to it. Think Pumpkinhead meets I Spit on Your Grave.
The Harsh Light of Day was written by and directed by Oliver S. Milburn and stars Dan Richardson, Giles Alderson, Sophie Linfield and Paul Jaques. The intriguing trailer can be found below. The film will officially be released in the UK on June 8.

Synopsis
Daniel Shergold lives the life he always wanted: a successful author, a happy marriage and a beautiful home. In a brutal, seemingly random attack, that life is taken away from him. Three masked intruders break in. His wife, Maria, is murdered and Daniel is paralyzed from the waist down. Bound to a wheelchair in the mausoleum of his home, Daniel nurses in a deep well of rage.
The arrival of enigmatic stranger, Infurnari, changes everything, but it is from a dark place that he comes. Infurnari offers Daniel something. Infurnari offers Daniel something he hadn’t dared hope for, something that shouldn’t even be possible. He will help him walk, help him search, help him find his vengeance. All this, but at a price.
Daniel may have to lose what little of himself he has left while discovering terrible new talents…but if it isn’t Daniel Shergold anymore, is it really vengeance? We find strength in the darkest of places.
