Radio 66.6 - Weekly Music News from the Crypt: March 26th, 2012We’re back with the latest installment of Radio 66.6! This week features news, music, videos, tour dates and more from the likes of Motley Crue, Kiss, Hatebreed, Miss May I, Meshuggah, The Used, Emmure, Killswitch Engage, Ministry and more. NEWS
Based on the picture on their website, it appears that Killswitch Engage are in the studio recording a new album. This will be their first effort since former vocalist Jesse Leach rejoined the metalcore band.

InsideOut Music has signed British progressive metal band Headspace. The group features Ozzy Osbourne keyboardist Adam Wakeman (who is also the son of Yes‘ Rick Wakeman). Their debut album, I Am Anonymous, will be released in the spring.

Hatebreed have begun be-production on their sixth album. The band will hit the studio in April and May to record.

Drummer Luke Holland has joined The Word Alive. He replaces Justin Salinas, who quit the group in January. In related news, the band has completed recording their new album, Life Cycles, which will be out later this year on Fearless Records.

The newly resurrected Massacre have signed to Century Media Records. The death metal icons will release a new 7″ in August.

Rise Records has signed Dallas, TX’s Crown the Empire. The band’s full-length debut will be released later this year.

RELEASES
Devin Townsend Project will release a DVD box set entitled By A Thread – Live in London 2011 on June 19 via HevyDevy Records/InsideOut Music. The four-DVD/five-CD set chronicles the band’s performances of all four of their albums in their entirety.

Three Opeth albums – 2001’s Blackwater Park, 2002’s Deliverance and 2003’s Damnation – along with their live CD/DVD, Lamentations, will be reissued on April 10 via The End Records.

Becoming the Archetype‘s will release a digital EP of remixes, entitled Celestial Progression, on April 17 via Solid State REcords. It will feature six tracks from the band’s 2011 album, Celestial Completion, reworked by electronica collective Born of Water and Chicago producer Giant Robot.

Miss May I‘s new album, At Heart, will be be released on June 12 via Rise Records. It was pushed back a couple of weeks from its originally announced May 29 date. The cover art can be viewed here, and a video explaining the delay can be seen here.

The Bunny The Bear will release their sophomore album, The Stomach For It, on May 22nd via Victory Records. Watch the announcement here.

Bullet Tooth has signed Minneapolis hard rockers Throw the Fight. The band will release their new album, What Doesn’t Kill Us, on June 5. It was produced by John Feldmann (Atreyu, The Used).

Razor & Tie Records has signed The Sword. You may know the band’s song “Freya” from Guitar Hero II. They will enter the studio in late June to record their fourth album, due out in the fall.

Terror will release their six full-length album, Live By the Code, later this year via Relapse Records/Century Media Records.
