Lionsgate will unleash writer-directors Gerard Bush & Christopher Renz’s new nightmare Antebellum with Janelle Monáe, Jena Malone, Jack Huston, and Gabourey Sidibe this April. And today we have a handful of still images from the flick via Lionsgate and IMDb.

For those that might not know, Antebellum is Latin for “before war” and in this case probably refers to the Antebellum South, the pre-American Civil War period in the Southern United States.
That said, the movie centers on successful author Veronica Henley (Janelle Monáe) who finds herself trapped in a nightmarish reality and must find a way to break free of the horrors at hand.

It stars Janelle Monáe with Eric Lange, Jena Malone, Jack Huston, Kiersey Clemons, Tongayi Chirisa, Gabourey Sidibe, Robert Aramayo, Lily Cowles, Marque Richardson, and London Boyce.
Antebellum is written and directed by Gerard Bush & Christopher Renz, who also produce alongside Zev Forman, Raymond Mansfield, Sean McKittrick, and Lezlie Wills. Lionsgate will unleash this new nightmare on April 24, 2020.
