Fest Darling CRYPTINA’s SPOOK-TIME VARIETY SHOW Now On YouTube

“How do you tell the difference between ghost boys and ghost girls? Booooooooooooooooooobs!”
– Ghoulsby

Cryptina’s Spook-Time Variety Show (written and directed by Ryan Rigley) is a short film and a horror anthology. It was designed as a mashup of horror anthologies like Tales from the Crypt &Elvira as well as sketch comedy shows like Saturday Night Live. Though the pilot didn’t launch a series, the short ran the festival circuit in 2018; our friends at Bloody Disgusting gushed:

“I love horror hosts and as such I really enjoyed Cryptina. The best film within the film was a spoof of Twilight where the vampire is Nosferatu.”

Earlier this month, Cryptina’s Spook-Time Variety Show finally made its way online. Give it a spin embedded at the top of the article.

Synopsis:
Cryptina’s Spook-Time Variety Show is a sketch comedy-horror anthology show. The series is hosted by Cryptina, an albino mistress of the dark that introduces each sketch with the unwanted help of her ex-boyfriend Ghoulsby, a vampire permanently stuck in bat form due to a gypsy curse.
