Fans of 1980s and 1990s era horror have long discussed the thematic and aesthetic similarities between Hellraiser (1987) and Event Horizon (1997), but are the two franchises connected? Could they possibly take place in the same universe? Despite being crafted by different studios and separate/unconnected creative teams, many believe there are enough clues to validate this hypothesis.
