Kevin Costner & Diane Lane Fight For Survival in August 2020

Focus Features has just announced that The Family Stone writer-director Thomas Bezucha’s thriller Let Him Go starring Kevin Costner and Diane Lane will be released in August 2020.

It centers on a retired sheriff George Blackledge played by Kevin Costner and his wife Margaret played by Diane Lane who leaves their Montana ranch to rescue their young grandson following the loss of their son. And when they discover that he is in the clutches of a dangerous family living off the grid in the Dakotas, they must fight for the survival of their family.

Written and directed by Thomas Bezucha, Let Him Go stars Kevin Costner, Diane Lane, and Lesley Manville. Paula Mazur and Mitchell Kaplan produced with Thomas Bezucha.

Focus Features will release Let Him Go on Friday, August 21, 2020.

As we all know this will not be the first (or probably the last) that Costner and Lane have shared the screen together. After all, they played Ma and Pa Kent in Zack Snyder’s Man of Steel.

Other notable roles the two have accrued over time include Lane’s roles in Judge Dredd with Sly Stallone, Murder at 1600 with Wesley Snipes, The Glass House, Unfaithful, and Untraceable.

And Costner has, of course, starred in classics such as Brian DePalma’s The Untouchables, Tony Scott’s Revenge, Kevin Reynolds’ Waterworld, Dragonfly, Mr. Brooks, The New Daughter, and the best episode of Steven Spielberg’s anthology series Amazing Stories.
