Snoop Dogg Fright Flick BONES Coming to Blu-ray in 2020

One of our favorite underappreciated fright flicks out there is director Ernest Dickerson’s Bones starring Snoop Dogg, Pam Grier, and Katharine Isabelle. And today we hear that Scream Factory will be unleashing the killer cult classic onto Blu-ray in March 2020.

Extras are still in the works and will be announced at a later date.

But in the meantime, you can check out the cover art below. Then let us know if you plan to snag a copy of Ernest Dickerson’s Bones starring Snoop Dogg this March in the comments below or over on Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram

The film begins in 1979 with Snoop Dogg (Training Day) as respected and loved neighborhood protector, Jimmy Bones. When he is betrayed and brutally murdered by a corrupt cop (Michael T. Weiss), Bones’ elegant brownstone becomes his tomb. Twenty-two years later, the neighborhood has become a ghetto and his home a Gothic ruin. Four teens renovate it as an after-hours nightclub, unknowingly releasing Jimmy’s tortured spirit. It’s thrills and chills when Jimmy’s ghost sets out to get his revenge.

Bones was directed by Ernest Dickerson (Tales from the Crypt: Demon Knight) from a screenplay written by Adam Simon and Tim Metcalfe. Rupert Harvey, Peter Heller, and Lloyd Segan produced. It starred Snoop Dogg, Pam Grier, Khalil Kain, Clifton Powell, Bianca Lawson, Katharine Isabelle, and Michael T. Weiss. New Line Cinema released it back on October 26, 2001.
