Exclusive: Gigi Saul Guerrero & Blumhouse Partner on Exclusive Merch Inspired by THE PURGE

Blumhouse TV announced today that they’ve partnered with multi-hyphenate writer/director/producer/actress, Gigi Saul Guerrero on the creation of exclusive merchandise to be sold in the official shop of Blumhouse. The items, which feature a special design inspired by The Purge created by Guerrero herself, include t-shirts, hoodies, notebooks, and an ornament.
Guerrero directs the upcoming December 10th episode of the Blumhouse Television series, The Purge, for USA, entitled “Hail Mary”. It’s the penultimate episode for Season 2.

Guerrero recently made Blumhouse her home when it was announced she signed a first look film and television deal with the studio. Prior to that, she made her feature-length directorial debut with the critically-acclaimed Into the Dark’s Culture Shock, an installment of the horror anthology series Blumhouse Television produces for Hulu. Guerrero is currently working on an untitled Blumhouse horror film based on the mythology of Santa Muerte for Screen Gems.
She also made headlines for her recent induction into the DGA and WGA. We got ahold of Guerrero for an exclusive rundown of her whirlwind year and what we can expect from her in 2020:
“Gotta be honest, joining the WGA and DGA feels like I just scored the at the same time the best Tacos al Pastor and Pozole!! It’s SUCH AN AMAZING FEELING! This a huge recognition for the hard work you put on yourself as a storyteller and proof that dreams do come true. I feel so lucky and blessed to have a clear vision of my career at my age and I only want to continue to work as hard and tell cool stories to share with audiences that share the same love as I do for cinema and television. I wouldn’t be where I am today without the support of my family, friends, my beloved team Luchagore Productions, and Blumhouse Television for giving me the great opportunity to have my feature debut be a story so personal to my heart – Culture Shock. Blumhouse has welcomed me with open arms to create and use my imagination to its fullest potential. I can not wait to continue to work together. 2019 was a mind-blowing experience of how fast your career can take off…. but now for 2020 I am ready with my seat belt and helmet on hahaha because baby this is going to be a thrill ride!!
