Like many of you guys out there, one of my favorite movies – Christmas or otherwise – is Gremlins and The Goonies creator Chris Columbus’ Home Alone with Macaulay Culkin. We rarely get to bring up the movie at Dread so we leap at any opportunity we get.
Case in point.
Today we have a killer new t-shirt design from our buddies at Fright-Rags featuring the one and only Southbend Shovel Slayer as he was always meant to be presented – an 80’s style slasher!

For the one poor soul out there that doesn’t know, Home Alone begins when bratty 8-year-old Kevin McCallister (Macaulay Culkin) is mistakenly left – you guessed it – home alone by his family when they set off for a Christmas vacation to Paris. To make matters worse, two wet bandits (Joe Pesci and Daniel Stern) plan to rob his home and he alone must protect it.
Chris Columbus directed Home Alone from a screenplay written by John Hughes (The Breakfast Club, Ferris Bueller’s Day Off). Hughes also produced the film which starred Macaulay Culkin, Joe Pesci, Daniel Stern, Catherine O’Hara, John Heard, and John Candy. 20th Century Fox released it back on November 16, 1990.
