Filming on writer-director David Twohy’s Riddick 4: Furya with Vin Diesel will begin next year. And today, Diesel lets us know he’s ready to roll with a beefcake Instagram post where he writes:
“After the longest filming shoot of my career with Fast 9… A film I am so immensely proud of. Before entering the next character and film project… so much to be excited about… Fast continuation, Xander Cage, Riddick… Groot. Not to mention the possibilities of Witch Hunter and the follow up to Bloodshot. Before all the press that coincides with the release of the various pictures next year. I must take a minute to center. To celebrate the wonderful family I have been blessed with. So grateful for the Holidays. Perfect timing I might add. Hahaha.”

The last time we saw Riddick on the screen was in the aptly-titled third entry Riddick which found the character left for dead on a sun-scorched planet. Fugitive Riddick then fights for survival against alien predators more lethal than any human he has yet encountered.
Riddick was written and directed by David Twohy and starred Vin Diesel, Jordi Mollà, Matt Nable, Katee Sackhoff, Dave Bautista, Bokeem Woodbine, Raoul Trujillo, and Karl Urban. Diesel produced with Ted Field and Samantha Vincent. Universal unleashed the flick back on September 6, 2013.
