WATCHMEN Test Footage Sports Ray Stevenson As Rorschach
Before Dawn of the Dead and 300 director Zack Synder finally brought Alan Moore’s graphic novel Watchmen to the screen in 2009, many filmmakers attempted to do just that long before.
Notable examples include Terry Gilliam and Darren Aronofsky.
But back in 2003, X-Men and X2: X-Men United screenwriter David Hayter was hired to write and direct an adaptation of the film. He eventually walked away citing “creative differences” but today we’ve learned that he shot some test footage for his version featuring Punisher: War Zone‘s Ray Stevenson as Rorschach and Game of Thrones‘ Iain Glen as Night Owl.
Check it out HERE.
