GODZILLA VS KONG Delayed Eight Months?!

Like the rest of you guys out there, one of the upcoming monster movies I was looking forward to the most was You’re Next and The Guest director Adam Wingard’s Godzilla vs Kong.

And today we’re hearing via Variety that the film has been delayed eight f*cking months from its original March 2020 release date and will now hit theaters in November 2020.

Urgh.

Now while I don’t want to come off as impatient here, what has me worried is that the film might be in trouble. Like, maybe these eight months are needed for massive reshoots or whatever.

BUT THAT’S JUST SPECULATION ON MY END.

Hopefully, this major delay ends up being nothing and the movie comes out all the better for these next few months of extra work. Fingers crossed.

In a time when monsters walk the Earth, humanity’s fight for its future sets Godzilla and Kong on a collision course that will see the two most powerful forces of nature on the planet collide in a spectacular battle for the ages. As Monarch embarks on a perilous mission into uncharted terrain and unearths clues to the Titans’ origins, a human conspiracy threatens to wipe the creatures, both good and bad, from the face of the earth forever.

Godzilla vs Kong is directed by Adam Wingard (You’re Next) from a screenplay written by Terry Rossio based on Godzilla by Toho and King Kong by Edgar Wallace and Merian C. Cooper.

Mary Parent, Alex Garcia, Eric McLeod, and Brian Rogers produce.

It stars Alexander Skarsgård, Millie Bobby Brown, Rebecca Hall, Brian Tyree Henry, Shun Oguri, Eiza González, Jessica Henwick, Julian Dennison, Kyle Chandler, and Demián Bichir.

Warner Bros. Pictures will now unleash Godzilla vs Kong in theaters on November 20, 2020.
