New Images from Stephen King’s THE OUTSIDER With Jason Bateman & Ben Mendelsohn

HBO’s upcoming limited series adaptation of Stephen king’s The Outsider is coming in January starring Jason Bateman and Ben Mendelsohn. And today we have three new stills from the show.

The new stills come to us from Lilja’s Library and you can check them out below.

The Outsider begins when an eleven-year-old boy’s violated corpse is found in a town park. Eyewitnesses and fingerprints point unmistakably to one of Flint City’s most popular citizens. He is Terry Maitland, Little League coach, English teacher, husband, and father of two girls.

Detective Ralph Anderson, whose son Maitland once coached, orders a quick and very public arrest. Maitland has an alibi, but Anderson and the district attorney soon add DNA evidence to go with the fingerprints and witnesses. Their case seems ironclad.

But as the investigation expands and horrifying answers begin to emerge we’re left to wonder, while Terry Maitland seems like a nice guy, is he wearing another face? The answer will shock you.

The limited series stars Ben Mendelsohn as Det. Ralph Anderson, with Jason Bateman as Terry Maitland, Cynthia Erivo as Holly Gibney, Bill Camp as Howie Gold, Mare Winningham as Jeannie Anderson, Paddy Considine as Claude Bolton, and Julianne Nicholson as Glory Maitland.

Yul Vazquez joins them as Yunis Sablo along with Jeremy Bobb as Alec Pelley, Marc Menchaca as Jack Hoskins, Frank Deal as Fred Peterson, and Dayna Beilenson as Mildred Patterson.

Recurring cast includes Hettienne Park as Tomika Collins, Michael Esper as Bill Samuels, Claire Bronson as Joy Peterson, Michael H. Cole as Herbert Parker, Marc Fajardo as Myron Lazar, Margo Moorer as Libby Stanhope, and Duncan E. Clark as Frankie Peterson.

The ten-episode season is written by Richard Price, Jessie Nickson-Lopez, and Dennis Lehane. Mendelsohn serves as the show’s producer while Bateman is an executive producer alongside Richard Price, Michael Costigan, Marty Bowen, and Jack Bender (Child’s Play 3).

The episode titles are Fish in a Barrel, Roanoke, Dark Uncle, Que Viene el Coco, Tear-Drinker, The One About the Yiddish Vampire, In the Pines, In the Pines, Foxhead, Tigers and Bears, and Must/Can’t. The series is all set to premiere on HBO on January 12, 2020.
