THE LIGHTHOUSE Washes Ashore on Blu-ray in January 2020

From Robert Eggers, the visionary filmmaker behind the modern horror masterpiece The Witch comes The Lighthouse, a hypnotic and hallucinatory tale of two lighthouse keepers (Willem Dafoe and Robert Pattinson) on a remote and mysterious New England island in the 1890s.

As an approaching storm threatens to sweep them from the rock and strange apparitions emerge from the fog, each man begins to suspect that the other has become dangerously unmoored. And today we’ve learned that the neo-classic will wash ashore on Digital next month, and then On Demand, Blu-ray, and DVD in January.

Blu-ray & DVD special features include “The Lighthouse: A Dark & Stormy Tale” featurette, audio commentary with co-writer & director Robert Eggers, and deleted scenes.

Directed by Robert Eggers (The Witch) from a screenplay he co-wrote with his brother Max Eggers, The Lighthouse stars Willem Dafoe (At Eternity’s Gate, The Florida Project, Murder on the Orient Express) and Robert Pattinson (Twilight franchise, Good Time, Water for Elephants). Executive produced by Arnon Milchan and Michael Schaefer, the film has been rated R for sexual content, nudity, violence, disturbing images, and some language.

The film sports a killer 92% approval rating over on Rotten Tomatoes with a Critics Consensus that reads: “a gripping story brilliantly filmed and led by a pair of powerhouse performances, The Lighthouse further establishes Robert Eggers as a filmmaker of exceptional talent.”

The Lighthouse hits Digital on December 20, 2019, and then Blu-ray, DVD, and VOD on January 7, 2020. Will you be snagging a copy of Robert Eggers’ The Lighthouse on Blu-ray in January? Let us know below in the comments or on Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram
