Horror Short WIPED is Cleaning Up Comedy Festivals
When an unspeakable evil arises from their household, four college friends must bond together to defeat this unsanitary monster once and for all.
Wiped is a twisted, unsanitary horror-comedy short from the mind of actor/writer/producer Chok Suwanavisootr and director Rohit Govardhanam (Hannah’s Demon). Wiped features an ensemble cast Chok Suwanavisootr (Ghostbusters of Long Beach), Liz Richman (The Purge: Survival), Nick Mumford, Shaina Hammer (Wolf Park), and Ismael Sanchez (No Activity). Produced by Yuhan Lin (Hey, Girl Teach Me How to Ollie), Devika Kapadia and shot by Jaime Torres, with original score and music from Dread Central’s Gregory S. Burkart.
Give the Wiped spin at the top of the article!
Wiped had its World Premiere at Halloweenopalooza Horror Convention in Iowa, followed by Canada Premiere at DEAD By CON Horror Festival, and recently had its Los Angeles Premiere at Die Laughing Festival in Hollywood and is looking to release on online platform this Halloween.
“I just wanted to create a horror character that nobody has ever done it before like this little demonic toilet paper” Suwanavisootr explains. “And with my love for horror/comedy genre and passion in always wanting to act in one, I figured, why not just write one up and give myself a role in it? You know, just like Tommy Wiseau did. I was inspired by the original Evil Dead films where the monster is really messing with its victims and enjoy seeing them suffer in the most hilarious, yet gruesome way before possessing their souls. Wiped is a mix of gross-out, toilet humors, and NSFW horror within our familiar household object that I think has so much potentials and gimmicks to play around with and make the audience spooked, laugh, and cringed like they have never experienced before.”
