Usually, what writers and illustrators give exclusive previews of upcoming comics, they offer up the first few pages. Lonnie Nadler, however, has gone a step further, creating an exclusive “comic book trailer” for us Black Stars Above #1. What’s a comic book trailer?
“Basically instead of previewing the first few pages of the book as is standard practice, this is a cut-up of the art and text from throughout the issue to give a greater sense of the story/tone,” Nadler explains. “As implied, it’s basically just a trailer in comic form. Nobody really does this, so I think it’s pretty innovative. The trailer was made by Hassan Otsmane-Elhaou.”
Look for Black Stars Above #1 in stores beginning November 13th. The art is by Jenna Cha, colors are by Brad Simpson, and Hassan Otsmane-Elhaou did the lettering. Check out the synopsis and “comic book trailer” below.
