What does the future hold? We have no idea. But it is an interesting subject for horror creators to delve into. And young filmmaker Chris Thomas has dedicated himself to creating a vision of post-apocalyptic terror. He currently has his short film, The Water’s Edge touring the film festival circuit…And we’ve got a sneak peek.

The Water’s Edge was produced and directed by Thomas with Richard Standen providing the screenplay. Mark Drake stars in the lead role of Robert Stenuit with Jeff Thomas featured. We’ve gotten a look at the short film and the cinematography is absolutely beautiful. Actually stunning in parts. The setting actually becomes a barren, foreboding member of the cast.

Check out the trailer below, and if you get a chance to see The Water’s Edge at an upcoming film festival, don’t hesitate to check it out. You’ll be impressed with what Thomas did on a budget of 1100 pounds and a four day filming schedule. And while you’re at it, give them a like on The Water’s Edge Facebook page and follow The Water’s Edge on Twitter (@thewatersedgeuk). Thomas and crew are currently looking into making The Water’s Edge into a full length feature film. We’ll keep you updated on this one.

Synopsis
