Dunstan’s Midnight Man a Go!
Anyone who was lucky and/or smart enough to attend the first annual Fear Fest (more info on number two is here), and in turn were smart enough to attend the panel with John Gulager, Marcus Dunstan and Diane Goldner were the first, and maybe last, to see test footage they shot for Midnight Man, a film we’ve been hoping to get made for a while over here. The trio had quick clip of stuff they had shot on their own and those who saw it know; it kicked ass (read about it here)!
We’ve got word that Midnight Man is finally greenlit and will be going in front of cameras as early as January with Marcus Dunstan making his directing debut. The film is about a man desperate to repay his ex-wife, to whom he owes a large debt. He breaks into his employer’s home to steal valuables, unaware that another, more ruthless criminal is already there and has setup a series of booby traps throughout.
Dusntan and writing partner Patrick Melton penned Midnight Man and are responsible for the Feast script, as well as the upcoming Saw IV, the Feast sequels, and a remake of The Tingler, making them the most prolific writers to come out of Project Greenlight by a long shot!
