Trailer: Take a Deep Dive in MEMORY: THE ORIGINS OF ALIEN

Four decades after its release, Alien remains one of the most lauded and studies horror/sci-fi film ever made; it’s considered a must-watch for cinema fans of every disposition. While much has been revealed about director Ridley Scott and his contributions to the film’s success, a new documentary, Memory: The Origins of Alien looks more at screenwriter Dan O’Bannon and designer H.R. Giger (the founding pioneer of an artform dubbed bio-mechanical).

Memory: The Origins of Alien premiered at TIFF last September and, today, we’re getting our first look at the UK trailer for the film. Give it a spin embedded at the top of the article!

Synopsis:
The untold origin story behind Ridley Scott’s Alien – rooted in Greek and Egyptian mythologies, underground comics, the art of Francis Bacon, and the dark visions of Dan O’Bannon and H.R. Giger. A contemplation on the symbiotic collaborative process of movie-making, the power of myth, and our collective unconscious.

UK Alien fans can check out Memory in theaters beginning August 30th with a Blu-ray/DVD release following on September 2nd. The film will arrive in the USA on October 4th.
