JACK AND THE BOX: Bonus Short Premiere Added to Free DEEP MURDER Screening on June 12th

As a special added bonus to our free NYC screening of the horror comedy Deep Murder on Wednesday, June 12, Dread Central has added the world premiere of Brooklyn filmmaker Mike Dimitroulakos’ short Jack and the Box to the night’s exciting bill. The screenings will take place at the Alamo Drafthouse Cinema (445 Albee Square West; 718-513-2547), and you can go HERE to get your tickets. Doors open at 7 pm.

In Dimitroulakos’ short screamer, Jack seemingly escapes an unseen horror from outside during a dark and stormy night, but finds himself face to face with the evil he thought he escaped within his home…

Jack and the Box was an exercise in no-budget filmmaking,” says Dimitroulakos, who shot the mini-feature in his apartment. “The intent to showcase that captivating atmosphere, direction, acting and visual effects on a limited set of means is possible and doable. It was to also incorporate and normalize LGBTQ characters, actors and filmmakers seamlessly into the horror movie world.” Watch for some exclusive Deep Murder content right here in the weeks ahead as Dread Central ramps up to the screening on June 12!
