Trailer: Revenge Never Dies in JASON RISING: A FRIDAY THE 13TH FAN FILM

It’s been a decade since the last Friday the 13th film and, with the property mired in a legal tug-of-war between the franchise’s original creators, it could be years before Mrs. Voorhees’ baby boy returns to the big screen. Small screens, however, are a different story entirely.
Thankfully, a legion of aspiring cinematographers has taken up the mantle, releasing a mini-tsunami of impressive fan films that keep Friday and Jason alive and relevant. The latest example is Jason Rising: A Friday the 13th Fan Film. Check out the trailer at the top of the article and the synopsis below.
Synopsis:
A fan film dedicated to Friday the 13th, Jason Rising follows Wessex County Police Officer, Pete Daltry (Kyle Vahan) along with two local bounty hunters, Jed (Jason Reynolds) and Bear (Jerry Bell Jr.). hot on the trail of three escapees from the Wessex County Corrections Farm. Soon after realizing their chase has led them onto the cursed grounds of Camp Crystal Lake, Daltry and his men quickly discover they are the ones being hunted by the undead, mass-murderer, Jason Voorhees (Dan Kyle).
Jason Rising: A Friday the 13th Fan Film is currently crowdfunding on Indiegogo with 29 days left to contribute. Here’s a statement from the campaigns page:
“Our goal with this campaign is to raise $20,000 in order to afford the overall cost of Principle Photography and Post Production for the film. This funding will allow our team access to the proper Camera and Lighting Equipment, Special Make-Up FX, Costumes, Props, and several other Production Costs including some of our wonder perks for our backers!”
