Fred Durst wrote and directed a horror movie. Yes, that Fred Durst, the frontman of 90s rap-rockers Limp Bizkit, the guy who did it all for the nookie. Not only has Durst made a horror movie, but it’s also based on his own real-life experiences. And did we mention that it stars John Travolta? Yes, that John Travolta!
Formerly called Moose, the film has been redubbed The Fanatic. Durst’s co-writer on the project was Dave Bekerman and, in addition to Travolta, the film stars Devon Sawa, Ana Golja, and Jacob Grodnik.
Information about The Fanatic is pretty slim at present. The synopsis is more like a logline (“A rabid film fan stalks his favorite action hero and destroys the star’s life”); there isn’t a trailer, key art, or even a target release date. What we do have, however, are some pictures of Travolta in character. Check him out below.
We’ll keep you posted on all Fanatic-related details as news emerges. Stay tuned and check back often!
