Today is the day! Paramount’s Pet Sematary is finally hitting screens after a new adaptation was announced back in 2010. It’s been a long road but the powers that be have finally made it to this point and now the world will get to see a new take on Stephen King’s dark and scary classic.
In celebration of the release, we’ve got a couple of video interviews, one with directors Dennis Widmyer and Kevin Kölsch, and the second with stars Jason Clarke and Amy Seimetz. In these interviews, we discuss the reaction after the film’s premiere at SXSW, honoring the work of Stephen King, the critical acclaim the movie has already received, and more.
“Dr. Louis Creed and his wife, Rachel, relocate from Boston to rural Maine with their two young children. The couple soon discover a mysterious burial ground hidden deep in the woods near their new home. When tragedy strikes, Louis turns to his neighbor Jud Crandall, setting off a perilous chain reaction that unleashes an unspeakable evil with horrific consequences.“
Pet Sematary is directed by Kevin Kölsch and Dennis Widmyer and stars Jason Clarke, John Lithgow, and Amy Seimetz. Look for it in US theaters beginning April 5th.
