Rest in Peace: Denise DuBarry, Star of MONSTER IN THE CLOSET, Has Passed Away at 63

Tragic news as actress, producer, and Palm Springs Women in Film and Television founder Denise DuBarry has passed away at 63 after battling a deadly fungus, her husband told Desert Sun.

DuBarry gained a following after her role as Nurse Greene in Black Sheep Squadron and she appeared in two titles of interest to the horror community. The first was 1979’s The Darker Side of Terror, a sci-fi/horror film about a man who clones himself to wreak havoc after being passed up for promotion. The film also starred horror icon Adrienne Barbeau.

The second was 1986’s horror comedy Monster in the Closet, which also starred Kevin Peter Hall (of Predator fame), Paul Walker, Frank Ashmore, John Carradine, and Donald Moffat (from John Carpenter’s The Thing).

We send our deepest condolences to the family and friends of Mrs. DuBarry in this incredibly sad time.
