Directors and Stars Discuss “True Horror” of Stephen King’s PET SEMATARY

Those attending the SXSW Festival in Austin, TX this week will have the opportunity to see the upcoming Pet Sematary remake (directed by Kevin Kölsch and Dennis Widmyer) this Sunday, March 17th—if they can get in! The rest of us will be able to tread on “sour ground” when the latest adaptation of Stephen King’s terrifying bestseller hits US theaters on April 5th.

Today, the folks at Paramount have released a new featurette on Pet Sematary. It features the directors and two of the film’s stars (Jason Clarke and Jonathan Lithgow) discussing the “true horror” of King’s disturbing tome. Give it a spin at the top of the article, followed by the synopsis and trailer for Pet Sematary below.

Synopsis:
Louis Creed, his wife Rachel, and their two children Gage and Ellie move to a rural home where they are welcomed and enlightened about the eerie ‘Pet Sematary’ located nearby. After the tragedy of their cat being killed by a truck, Louis resorts to burying it in the mysterious pet cemetery, which is definitely not as it seems, as it proves to the Creeds that sometimes, dead is better.
