“They don’t come back the same…”

We’re just over four weeks away from the nationwide release of Pet Sematary, a new adaptation of the novel by Stephen King that’s set to haunt US theaters beginning April 5th. Or, if you’re attending the SXSW Festival in Austin, TX this week, you’ll have the opportunity to see the film’s world premiere on Sunday, March 17th. Either way, the wait isn’t much longer, and Paramount has been tantalizing us with new teasers.

In the latest TV spot, Ellie Creed (played by Jeté Laurence) comes home after being buried in “sour ground”. Give it a spin at the top of the article—and beware jump scares! You can also read the film’s synopsis and view the latest full trailer below.

Synopsis:
Dr. Louis Creed and his wife, Rachel, relocate from Boston to rural Maine with their two young children. The couple soon discover a mysterious burial ground hidden deep in the woods near their new home. When tragedy strikes, Louis turns to his neighbour Jud Crandall, setting off a perilous chain reaction that unleashes an unspeakable evil with horrific consequences.

Pet Sematary is directed by Kevin Kölsch and Dennis Widmyer; the film stars John Lithgow, Jason Clarke, and Amy Seimetz.
