A24 Releases 2nd Moving Image for HEREDITARY Writer/Director’s Next Film MIDSOMMAR

Just a day after releasing the first enigmatic teaser for Hereditary writer/director Ari Aster’s sophomore release, Midsommar, A24 released a second “motion image” (via Twitter). There’s a definite folk horror element, which gels with Asters past descriptions of Midsommar as an apocalyptic break-up movie having something to do with a Scandinavian cult.

In addition to the teaser image, there’s also an official poster, which you can see to the right.

Synopsis:
A young woman reluctantly joins her boyfriend on a summer trip where things quickly go awry.

Hopefully all of this recent movement on the Midsommar front is a prelude to an actual trailer.

Midsommar stars Florence Pugh, Will Poulter, and William Jackson Harper; look for it to hit US theaters beginning August 9^th.
