It’s been over two weeks since we’ve reported any new Slipknot news, but don’t worry maggots (aka Slipknot fans); we’re still expecting an album this Spring/Summer with an ambitious tour to follow. So, while we wait for the next emerging details, it seemed like a good time to catch up on the band’s backstory—and Loudwire has us covered!

In a nutshell, Slipknot owes much of their success to a determined local DJ, industry support, and an amazing run on OzzFest 1999. Hopefully, the band’s next chapter will be just as interesting as their first chapter!
