Steven Spielberg Turning THE SPIRE IN THE WOODS into Horror Movie Called THE BELLS

In 2013, Tony Lunedi won a “Best Content” award for his chilling series of Reddit posts in the “No Sleep” forum released under the title The Spire in the Woods; the pieces were combined into a novel that became a best seller. Now, Steven Spielberg and Amblin Partners have acquired the rights to The Spire in the Woods with plans to adapt the story into a horror movie called The Bells.

Here’s the book’s synopsis:

“After discovering the suicide of a schoolmate, the young man embarks on a quest to discover the truth. Why did Robert Edward Kennan kill himself? Was it because of a failed relationship or something more insidious? Based on actual events, Spire in the Woods is equal to the coming of age and ghost story. A simple account of one man’s struggles with his mental health, his obsession with the supernatural, and his single greatest regret of his life.”
