Edgar Wright’s Next Film to Be a Psychological Horror

Shaun of the Dead (2004) Director Edgar Wright and ZOMBIES!

Edgar Wright, the man who brought us Shaun of the Dead and The World’s End, has revealed to Empire Magazine that his next feature will be a “straight-up psychological horror-thriller” set in London with a female lead. The writer/director adds that films like Don’t Look Now and Repulsion have a large influence on the upcoming project, which is set to shoot this summer based on a script co-written by Krysty Wilson-Cairns.

“I realised I had never made a film about central London – specifically Soho, somewhere I’ve spent a huge amount of time in the last 25 years,” Wright explained to Empire. “With Hot Fuzz and Shaun Of The Dead you make movies about places you’ve lived in. This movie is about the London I’ve existed in.”

Wright’s last movie was 2017’s Baby Driver.
