Elvira Hints at MISTRESS OF THE DARK Sequel & Potential MOVIE MACABRA Return on Netflix

Casandra Peterson, better know as Elvira, Mistress of the Dark, has been a staple of the horror community for decades. Though she recently retired from giving annual performances during Knott’s Scary Farm in Southern California each October, the immortal beauty has no intension of fading quietly into the darkness.

During a recent Instagram Q&A, the buxom Queen of Goths hinted that a sequel to her cult hit Elvira: Mistress of the Dark (1988) may finally get a sequel:

“I’m giving this some serious thought. A LOT of people ask this question, so I’m thinking one more… we’ll see!”

Elvira also revealed that she’s currently in talks with Netflix to resurrect her classic series Elvira’s Movie Macabre, wherein the Mistress featured camp and classic horror films, interspersed with her signature cheeky commentary loaded with double entendre. It isn’t clear if the streaming giant is interested in replaying classic episodes or creating a new series based on Elvira’s Movie Macabre. Time will tell and we’ll keep you posted as additional details emerge. Stay tuned!
