This Image of King Ghidorah From GODZILLA: KING OF THE MONSTERS is as Fierce as They Come

A new image of King Ghidorah from the upcoming giant monster movie Godzilla: King of the Monsters has been released and it is nothing short of awesome! In the image, a massive plane (is this some kind of aerial fortress?) seems to be heading straight into the belly of the beast as Ghidorah is square in its path, a bolt of lightning illuminating the dark sky. We’ve already seen from both trailers that there’s going to be some truly epic visuals and this image only reinforces that. May 31 can’t get here soon enough!

Members of the crypto-zoological agency Monarch face off against a battery of god-sized monsters, including the mighty Godzilla, who collides with Mothra, Rodan, and his ultimate nemesis, the three-headed King Ghidorah. When these ancient super-species thought to be mere myths rise again, they all vie for supremacy, leaving humanity’s very existence hanging in the balance.

Directed by Trick ‘r Treat and Krampus‘ Michael Dougherty, who co-wrote the film with Zach Shields, Godzilla: King of the Monsters stars Vera Farmiga, Ken Watanabe, Sally Hawkins, Kyle Chandler, Millie Bobby Brown, Bradley Whitford, Thomas Middleditch, Charles Dance, O’Shea Jackson Jr., Aisha Hinds, and Zhang Ziyi.

This film has been rated PG-13 for sequences of monster action violence and destruction, and for some language.
