Burt Gummer Will Battle Graboids Once Again in TREMORS 7 in 2019

Though a planned TV series with Kevin Bacon failed to materialize, a new Tremors movie is in the works with franchise staple Michael Gross returning in the role of hunter Burt Gummer. Gross made the announcement himself via Facebook, revealing that the seventh chapter in the monster saga is targeting a Fall 2019 release.

“Tremors fans will be delighted to know I have just agreed to the terms of a contract for a SEVENTH film. My best estimate is that Burt Gummer will begin his hunt for Graboids and other nefarious forms of wildlife in the fall of 2019.”

There’s no word yet on who is directing or additional cast members, but we’ll keep you posted as additional details emerge. The last installment of Tremors was Tremors: A Cold Day in Hell, a straight-to-DVD sequel released last summer. If you missed it, you can give the synopsis and trailer a spin below.

Synopsis:
The new sequel finds Burt Gummer, who’s dying from Graboid poison, and his son Travis at a remote research station in Canada’s Nunavut Territory, where they must go up against a new batch of Graboids to save Burt’s life.

Tremors: A Cold Day in Hell was directed by Don Michael Paul; in addition to Gross, the film stars Jay Anstey, Alistair Moulton Black, Paul du Toit, and Jamie Kennedy.
