The 2011 edition of the Screamfest LA Film Festival completed its run on Saturday, October 22nd, at Manns Chinese 6 in Hollywood, California, and Dread Central hit the carpet one last time to bring you further ocular candy and to give you the lowdown on which filmmakers took home the coveted ‘Skully’ Screamfest Awards. Held at BoHo at Hollywood & Highland, the award ceremony this year was hosted by Jonna Jackson and John Farrell, and those in attendance for the closing night included Eli Roth (Hostel), Mike Mendez (Gravedancers), Dave Parker (The Hills Run Red), Jeffrey Reddick (Final Destination), Ti West (The Innkeepers), Paul and Benjamin China (Crawl), Barbara Crampton (Re-Animator), and AJ Bowen (Rites of Spring) along with a bevy of the festival’s selected filmmakers and more.

Best Picture – Urban Explorer (review here)

Best Actor – Klaus Stiglmeier, Urban Explorer
Best Actress – Georgina Haig, Crawl
Best Special Effects – The Tunnel
Best Makeup – Urban Explorer
Best Musical Score – The Innkeepers
Best Short – The Little Mermaid
