Something is Amiss: US Center for Disease Control Discussing Zombie Pandemic Preparedness

I wouldn’t call myself an obsessive conspiracy theorist, but I’m always willing to listen. And sometimes the clues are simply too overwhelming to ignore. Case in point: The United States Department of Health and Human Services Center for Disease Control and Prevention has recently been discussing steps to take during a zombie apocalypse. How did “Jesse Ventura’s Conspiracy Theory” miss this?
Okay, maybe it’s just a government agency having a little fun during the Halloween season. You know what a bunch of jokesters government officials can be. But let’s take a look at the facts here. On May 16th of this year, the CDC released this entry on their blog entitled Preparedness 101: Zombie Apocalypse. The article references zombie history, tips on making a zombie preparedness kit and steps the CDC would take in case of an event like this.
Now this fact by itself could easily be overlooked, or, indeed, taken in jest. But they have now continued their zombie educational campaign by releasing a zombie-themed comic book entitled, again, Preparedness 101: Zombie Apocalypse. I think it’s quite obvious what they are doing here. The CDC knows that not all Americans are going to be scanning their website, reading articles on disease control, but what better way to rope in the masses than a comic. Ah, US Government, you’ve dumbed it down for us again.
If you’re interested in seeing the comic (which, come on, you know you are), you can check it out here. And by all means, remember: Rule #1: Cardio, Rule #2: Double Tap.
