Haunted House Flick THE EVIL Hits Blu-ray This September

It’s rare but today we have news regarding a film that I haven’t seen (or ever even heard of) called The Evil. The 1978 haunted house seems to have truly slipped through the cracks for me. Should I check it out?

Whether I should or not, the film will be hitting Blu-ray this September via Scream Factory. You can check out the cover art to the right. Extras from the previous DVD release will be carried over.

Should I check out the film? Make sure to hit us up and let us know what you think in the comments below or on Facebook, Twitter, and/or Instagram!

The film is directed by Gus Trikonis and stars Richard Crenna, Joanna Pettet, Andrew Prine, Cassie Yates, and Victor Buono. It hits Blu-ray September 18th.

Synopsis:

A psychologist (Richard Crenna) and his wife (Joanna Pettet) buy a dilapidated historical mansion with a dark past in this terrifying chiller. Hoping to restore the estate and turn it into a drug rehabilitation clinic, he accepts the help of some of his students and current patients. But when a secret door in the basement of the house is opened, the malevolent presence within is unleashed, trapping everyone inside. One by one, they are picked off by the unspeakable terror that has awoken … and the doctor learns that even though his name is on the deed, the house belongs soul-ly to The Evil.
