Dread Central Presents: DIRECTOR’S CUT Slams the Clapboard on VOD and Home Video Dates

If you’re not able to see Dread Central Presents’ meta horror comedy Director’s Cut in theaters over the coming weeks (screenings), then don’t fret as we’re making sure you can watch the movie without waiting too long! We’re excited to let you know that the movie will be hitting VOD platforms on May 29; it will be followed shortly thereafter with a Blu-ray/DVD combo release on June 5.
In this ultimate “meta movie,” Herbert Blount (Penn Jillette) is a crowdfunding contributor for the new Adam Rifkin feature KNOCKED OFF. Unhappy with the film, he steals the footage and kidnaps actress Missi Pyle to star in his own “director’s cut!”
Ironically, the film was actually financed by an elaborate crowdfunding campaign that attracted over 4,500 backers!
Written by Jillette and directed by Adam Rifkin, Director’s Cut stars Penn Jillette, Missi Pyle, Harry Hamlin, Hayes MacArthur, and Lin Shaye.
