It’s been rumored for a while now but today we have confirmation that Netflix’s dark reboot of Sabrina the Teenage Witch will now be going by the official title Chilling Adventures of Sabrina.
Yes, the news dropped over on Twitter where the show’s executive producer and showrunner Roberto Aguirre Sacasa let the world know “It’s official! Chilling Adventures of Sabrina is our title! Something wicked this way comes…”

Picked up with a two-season, straight-to-series order, the project reimagines the origin and adventures of the comic book character Sabrina the Teenage Witch as a dark coming-of-age tale that traffics in horror, the occult, and witchcraft. It is described as in the vein of Rosemary’s Baby and The Exorcist.
The series stars Kiernan Shipka, Miranda Otto, Lucy Davis, Jaz Sinclair, Chance Perdomo, Ross Lynch, Michelle Gomez, Tati Gabrielle, Richard Coyle, and Bronson Pinchot.
Synopsis:
Chilling Adventures of Sabrina imagines the origin and adventures of Sabrina the Teenage Witch as a dark coming-of-age story that traffics in horror, the occult and, of course, witchcraft. Tonally in the vein of Rosemary’s Baby and The Exorcist, this adaptation finds Sabrina wrestling to reconcile her dual nature — half-witch, half-mortal — while standing against the evil forces that threaten her, her family and the daylight world humans inhabit.
