Jake Gyllenhaal Reteams with Nightcrawler Director for Upcoming Netflix Horror-Thriller

One of the best “horror adjacent” movies out there is writer-director Dan Gilroy’s Nightcrawler starring Jake Gyllenhaal. If you’ve never peeped the film, add it to the top of your must-see list ASAP.

And speaking of Gyllenhaal and Gilroy, the actor and director will be teaming up again soon for a new currently untitled Netflix horror-thriller co-starring Rene Russo (Nightcrawler), Toni Collette (Hereditary), John Malkovich (Con Air), and Natalia Dyer (“Stranger Things”).

On top of that powerhouse of casting, Variety reports the film will also include roles for British actress Zawe Ashton (Nocturnal Animals), Tony Award nominee Tom Sturridge (Mary Shelley), Daveed Diggs (“Hamilton”), and Billy Magnussen (Game Night).

Production is currently under way in Los Angeles, and the movie will hit Netflix sometime in 2018. We’ll let you know once we hear more!

The film is written and directed by Dan Gilroy and produced by Jennifer Fox; Betsy Danbury is exec producer.
