What happens when you warn kids not to party somewhere? They head there immediately of course! And then all manner of mayhem ensues… just like in the new teaser trailer for The Ranger, a film having its World Premiere tomorrow (March 12th) at the South by Southwest Film Festival.

Jenn Wexler’s new horror film stars Chloe Levine, Granit Lahu, Jeremy Pope, and “Mr. Robot’s” Jeremy Holm as The Ranger, featuring the legendary Larry Fessenden (Habit, Wendigo). The teaser features music by Wade MacNeil from Alexisonfire & Gallows & Andrew Gordon Macpherson. Executive producers are Darryl Gariglio, Giles Daoust, and Catherine Dumonceaux; producers include Andrew van den Houten, Larry Fessenden, Ashleigh Snead, Heather Buckley, and director Wexler.

The Ranger screens on Monday, March 12th, at the Alamo Drafthouse Ritz at 11:55 PM. Expected to be in attendance are Jenn Wexler, Chloe Levine, Jeremy Holm, Bubba Weiler, Jeremy Pope, Granit Lahu, and Larry Fessenden (tentative). If you’re lucky enough to join them, share your thoughts on social media with the hashtag #RangerDanger.

Synopsis:
When Chelsea and her friends get in trouble with the cops, they flee the city and go on the run. Fueled by a hallucinogenic drug called Echo, they hope to lay low–and get high–in an old family hideout in the woods. But Chelsea’s got reservations about going back to nature and secrets she’s not sharing with her friends. When a shot rings out, her past comes crashing back, and the punks find themselves pitted against the local authority: an unhinged park ranger with an axe to grind.
