dominic cooper the cureIt’s been a while since we heard anything from the director of the better than expected remake of The Last House on the Left, Dennis Iliadis, but thankfully the man has The Cure for his absence.

Iliadis’ next project will be directing and developing a screenplay with Beau Michael Thorne for The Cure, and while it’s still early in the game, there are already a couple of actors in mind to fill the two lead roles.

Dominic Cooper (pictured right, The Devil’s Double, Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter) has been offered the lead role of “Jeff”, and the producers are taking a hard look at Liv Tyler to play Jeff’s wife, “Mary”, who suffers from a serious neuromuscular disease.

“The story centers on a young man who sends his wife for an experimental treatment to save her from a terminal illness. Although she returns completely cured, she is suddenly infected with something more terrifying.”

More as it comes.
