Earlier this year we shared with you guys the trailer for the upcoming sequel to the horror-comedy Iron Sky featuring Hitler riding a T-Rex. Yes, you read that correctly.

Iron Sky: The Coming Race is all set to hit theaters on Valentine’s Day 2018 and today we have news that the third entry in the “Nazi’s in Space” series has already begun filming.

The new entry is called Iron Sky: The Ark and has been shooting at Wanda Studios in Qingdao, China, since October. The film relocates the action to China, linking the Iron Sky’s sci-fi universe with the ancient Chinese fairytale of Chang’e.

Not only that but THR reports that Oscar-nominee  Andy Garcia (The Godfather Part III) and Chinese star Duan Yihong have joined the cast of Finnish director Timo Vuorensola’s sequel alongside Lin Yi, Vivienne Tien, Rhydian Vaughan, and Udo Kier.

Iron Sky: The Ark is set to shoot through early 2018 and is eyeing a release in China come early 2019. Jiabo Culture Investment Co. and Jetsen Cultural Media Group are producing.

We will let you know once we hear more on the new Iron Sky film, but until then remember that Iron Sky: The Coming Race hits limited theaters on February 14th, 2018.

Synopsis:

Twenty years after the events of Iron Sky, the former Nazi Moonbase has become the last refuge of mankind. Earth was devastated by a nuclear war, but buried deep under the wasteland lies a power that could save the last of humanity – or destroy it once and for all. The truth behind the creation of mankind will be revealed when an old enemy leads our heroes on an adventure into the Hollow Earth. To save humanity they must fight the Vril, an ancient shapeshifting reptilian race, and their army of dinosaurs.
