Screamfest L.A. 2017 Second Wave of Films Revealed Along with the Full Schedule
The second wave of films has been announced for one of the country’s best film festivals, Screamfest L.A., and we have your details right here along with the full schedule! Strap in, kids! You’re in for a scream!

Screamfest Horror Film Festival, America’s largest and longest running horror movie festival, announces its 2017 official schedule and the second wave of its festival lineup. The fest will run from October 10-19, 2017, at the TCL Chinese Theatres in Hollywood. Over its seventeen-year run, the female-run festival has launched careers – providing a platform for filmmakers and actors to showcase their latest work to enthusiasts and general audiences.
“We are excited to share the truly imaginative work these diverse filmmakers have created to our audience,” said Rachel Belofsky, Screamfest Founder and Festival Director. “These films push the envelope and raise the bar.”
This year’s festival will showcase a total of 19 feature films. Badges are currently on sale to the general public at ScreamfestLA.com, and individual film tickets and day passes will also be available.

SPECIAL SCREENINGS
Along with the myriad of horror films at the festival, Screamfest will also host several special screenings.
· On October 13, as a tribute to the late Tobe Hooper, Screamfest will show The Funhouse, a film that follows four teenage friends who spend the night in a carnival funhouse and are stalked by a deformed man in a Frankenstein mask.
· In honor of the upcoming 30th Anniversary of the release of Child’s Play, Screamfest will present a special screening of the film on October 14. It will be followed by a Q&A with director Tom Holland to be moderated by Sean Decker and Jack Ulrich. Child’s Play follows a single mother who gives her son a much sought after doll for his birthday, only to discover that it is possessed by the soul of a serial killer.
