Another tale of ghostly goings-on is on its way starring a hefty amount of scream queens, and we have your first word right here! Dare you enter Ouija House?
From the Press Release:
Scream queens Tara Reid, Mischa Barton, and Dee Wallace will star in OUIJA HOUSE, a new supernatural thriller from director Ben Demaree (Hansel v. Gretel). ITN Distribution is the worldwide sales agent and is repping the movie in Toronto.
OUIJA HOUSE concerns a graduate student who, trying to finish the last of her research on a book project she hopes will help her down-on-her-luck mother, brings friends to a house with a dark past, where they soon unwittingly summon an evil entity with plans of its own. The screenplay is by Justin Hawkins and Jeff Miller, based on a story by Miller.
Reid plays a character who has faced the evil house before. Barton plays a niece of one of the owners of the house who knows about its mysterious past. Wallace plays the struggling mother of the lead. The film also stars Carly Schroeder (MEAN CREEK), Chris Mulkey (CAPTAIN PHILLIPS), Mark Grossman, Grace Demarco, Derrick King, and Tiffany Shepis.
Miller (CLOWNTOWN), who is currently producing the thrillers THE TOYBOX (also with Barton) and THE RUSSIAN BRIDE, is producing and executive producing. Stuart Alson of ITN, David Coppa, and Felix McNulty are other executive producers. Dylan Matlock, Tom Nagel, and Carly Schroeder are co-producers. Maytal Mizrahi is associate producer. Many other CLOWNTOWN and TOYBOX veterans return, including Ken Stachnik as gaffer and Ryan Pilz as production designer.
Reid is represented by Mavrick Artists Agency, Barton is represented by LINK Entertainment, and Wallace is represented by Amsel, Eisenstadt, Frazier & Hinojosa Talent Agency.
OUIJA HOUSE should be finished in late 2017.
