New Sky Sharks Poster Pays Homage to Dawn of the Dead

Although comparisons to Sharknado are inevitable, the upcoming Sky Sharks still looks like one of the craziest and most ambitious films we’ve heard about in a long time. In the film a squad of US soldiers who died in Vietnam are resurrected to fight an army of super sharks created by the Nazis. Can’t get much crazier than that.

A post on the film’s Facebook page revealed that it begins shooting on September 8th in addition to unveiling a new poster which pays homage to George A. Romero’s Dawn of the Dead.

Sky Sharks will be directed by Marc Fehse (whom we interviewed last year) and will feature a large cast of veteran horror actors including Naomi Grossman, Amanda Bearse, Diana Prince, Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa, Robert LaSardo, Tony Todd, and Dave Sheridan.

Synopsis:
Deep in the ice of the Antarctic, a team of geologists uncover an old Nazi laboratory still intact where dark experiments had occurred. In order to conquer the world, the Nazis created modified sharks who were able to fly and whose riders are genetically mutated, undead super-humans.

A military task force called “Dead Flesh Four” – reanimated US soldiers who fell in Vietnam – is put together to prevent world downfall.
